Consultation

Navigating the aged care system can be overwhelming — from understanding how it works to figuring out available services, eligibility, and costs. A good place to start is by engaging us. Our comprehensive consultation is designed to give you a clear overview of the aged care system.

During the session, we’re happy to be guided by you on the matters you’d like us to explain. If you’re new to aged care, we can walk you through the different types of care available — such as home care or residential care — and explain how government subsidies and fees are structured. We’ll also outline what to expect at each stage of the process.

You can choose to engage us upfront on a fixed-fee basis or begin with the hourly rate and decide later if you’d prefer to switch. You’re also welcome to continue on an hourly basis if that suits you best. Our hourly rate is $395.

Our consultations are tailored to your needs, allowing you to guide the discussion. Whether you want to understand the aged care system, explore home care options, navigate Centrelink’s means-tested fee assessment, or discuss residential aged care placements, we’re here to provide clarity and support. Let us know your priorities, and we’ll focus on the topics that matter most to you.

This meeting is designed to be interactive and responsive to your needs. We will answer all your questions and can tailor the discussion based on any specific information you provide. While the primary focus will be on explaining how the aged care system works and outlining available strategies, assessing the impact on your personal situation will require detailed financial modelling, which can be arranged separately.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Overview of the System: A clear explanation of aged care services, including home care and residential care options, government subsidies, and eligibility criteria.
  • Strategic Considerations: Insight into common strategies used to manage care costs, structure assets, and plan effectively.
  • Fee Structures Explained: A breakdown of typical costs, including means-tested care fees, and how these are generally applied.
  • Navigational Support: Practical advice on the steps involved in applying for home care packages, Centrelink means testing, or aged care placements.
  • Document Guidance: Support in understanding and preparing the necessary paperwork for a smoother process.
  •  Informed Decision-Making: Greater clarity and confidence in your options, helping reduce stress and uncertainty as you move forward.

Please note: For advice specific to your financial circumstances, we recommend a follow-up session focused on personalised financial modelling
